well when the motor is running make sure nothing is leaking from any hoses make sure that it's not over heating, check for oil leaks on motor and look underneath the car check to see on the tranny and the oil pan if there's any oil that looks like it's been leaking from somewhere , take the car for a spin ask the owner if you can take it into vtec just to make sure it's actually engaging and nothing sounds out of the ordinary...

how much is he asking? sometimes you just cant pass up a good deal. Make sure the check engine light isnt on. that could be a number of things. You can look up the codes if the light is on. you can also do a compression, and/or leakdown test. A compression test, bascially tells you how healthy the motor is. Just use good judgement on if it leaks anything. Run it, park it, move it and look if anything spilled. p/s lines leak, brake lines leak, check the radiator hoses, pay attention to the idle. If it jumps or bounces it could be a clogged IACV, which could mean lack of maintenance. have the timing belt been changed? waterpump? fuel filter? spark plugs, cap and rotor, all these are like 100-120K mileage maintanence... Good luck man...

Grab the vin if possible before you go to look at it and run a vin check on it to see what else may have happened before he picked up the car that he may not be aware of, such as prior theft and such. There are a few of those out there that are known to have been stolen several times...like four or more. This very well may not be one of them, but know what you're looking at when going in there. Also, the previous advice is very sound as well.
Theft cars aren't all bad, just look them over closely and know what you're looking at before you go. Good luck!

all depends on the price. i bought a 1997 GSR theft car that had the interior and air bags stolen back in 1999. nothing else was wrong. same guy owned it since then and had everything on it. i walked with the car for $3000 since it needed brakes, the trunk leak fixed and a tune up. one day later the car was just fine.

the gripforce package deal with the exedy replacement clutch and exedy or fidanza flywheel is hard to beat. i have one of those replacement clutches on my R motor and have no problems at all with it. i'm even running a very sticky street tire {BFG KD} which will test a clutch if they are borderline.

How much would a stock 97 gsr manual oem clutch run me about and the trow out bearing
Hopefully under 250 or even 200
is this any good http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Exedy...ht_5039wt_1197
