burning oil
This is my guess. because im not leaking oil. but i have a 2001 ls with 150k, every oil change is with mobil 1 5w30 and a honda filter. in between changes, religiousley at 3k miles im about 3/4 to 1 qt of oil short of the gallon i iniatally put in. is this normal? what should i do next? wait till it gets worse, what? time for new rings and valve seals? advice is appreciated.

Re: burning oil
how are your driving habits? it is common for even a healthy honda motor to burn some oil if regularly driven at high rpm.
if you really want to make sure, do a compression/leakdown test and check out your valve guide seals.
