I bought the factory bolts for the trans and they were not long enough to put one of my b17a blocks on my stand. I am sure not all stands are the same though. I needed bolts 1/2 or 3/4in longer than the factory trans bolts to put my shortblock on my el cheapo checker stand (gift from girlfriend). Sorry this was many years ago so I cannot remember the thread pitch or size I used. Hopefully your stand is better than my cheapo.

Weird, my tranny bolts worked just fine to get my B18C1 onto my el cheapo Harbor Freight 3-wheel stand... unstable as hell but it got the job done. It was a little scary flipping the entire engine upside down (head and IM still attached) with that 3 wheel stand.
