Default barke lights stay on

Ok i just put my motor in the car, but before then i noticed the tail lights come on and stay on before the motor was in the car. The battery is fully charged, just trying to figure out why they stay on. The brakes are not pressed at all either.

Check the brake lamp switch above the pedal and adjust if needed.

You think that could be the problem? When i put the steering colum in and put the battery in the car, it wasn't on until my girls son stood on the rear bumper in the corner. LOL! But ill try that one first. I hop that the problem.

There's a little plastic plug that the brake light switch hits when the brake peddle is at rest. If that breaks or falls out, the brake light switch will stay open, keeping the brake lights on. Check if that's there.

The Honda/Acura part part number is 46505-SA5-000, list price $2.12 at any Honda or Acura dealer. Or pull one from just about any Honda or Acura vehicle at a salvage yard . . .

Ill just pay the 2.12, cause at the junk yard they charge 3 bucks to get in there.
