i have an 94 integra rs with a generic intaken comptech header, tenabe super medallion exhaust i have race 2 b20 eg hatches with I,h,e one with ls tranny and one with an b16 tranny and the one with b16 tranny pulss me by 2.5 cars but then at 70 im at its door and by 90 im a car awy from it. now the one with ls tranny is dead even with me so the point is the b16 tranny has a nice low end but no top end now as for the ls tranny i think is better then the b16 tranny just cause is good all aorund on that motor. but i rather have a gsr tranny it would be a lot better

I have a b20 with a b16 tranny, I actually just put it in about two weeks ago but i don't sit at 4-4.5k at 80 mph, i sit around 3.5-3.8k at 80 mph, anyone know why?

Anyways, 1st through 3rd rip pretty good. I have a 7 lb flywheel with a 6 puck clutch and i launched it the other day and it took off like a bat out of hell compared to the ls trans, it lights the tires up all the way til a couple seconds into 3rd.

But anyways, my gas mileage hasn't really changed to much. unless i'm on a track or messing around on a backroad occasionally (you do it too!), i have a very light foot, using 1/4 throttle or less mostly and it hasn't shown a big difference if any yet.

I've had this setup albeit it with a GSR tranny in a former car. B18 with b16 transmission is actually a bit quicker down the track than a similiarly modded b16a.

I had it in my hatch. B18B With B16 Tranny. It pulled real nice. gas milage wasn't bad either. The thing that sucks is 1st gear. Its too short for DD. lol So I would always started it in 2nd gear. Its fun you will enjoy it.

Do you think a better option would be B18B1 w/ GSR trans w/ LSD? Especially if you are going to boost in the future..

The gas mileage really shouldn't go down just because of the trans. The EM1 Si still gets like 30+ mpg. Hell, with my CEL on for a bad O2 sensor, I still get 25-28mpg.

You're probably just beating on it because you're diggin on your new mod. Sound logical?

I actually dont beat on the car, motor is stock no intake. or exhaust just trans flywheel, 6puck. I rarely get on her, just from work and back home speed limit!

Gas mileage depends on throttle position as well as rpms. It's somewhat of an urban legend that you will lose gas mileage with a b16 or GSR tranny.
