Re: AWD Integra GSR build
Did some putt putting around the last few days, and I have a few drivability issues. Not due to the conversion though. The dummy axles are working and haven't bottomed out yet. The ride is stable, but I have no sway bars so it's a little rolly. I can't get it to idle. It's gonna take some trial and error to fix that. It pulls pretty nice at low rpm, but vtec isn't tuned so it goes full retard on me at around 4500. I have no reliable Speedo and gas gage, so that has to be addressed. I still have to get the axles. I'm thinking of selling my 91 eclipse gsx to pay for some stuff.

Updates!!! Its coming along nicely! I like how your trunk looks more or less stock haha. Now time for some axles and then breaking **** loose in the rear (the tires that is)

Got the Speedo working mostly. Still kinda off. Vtec is partially tuned, but it's stupid loud . I might get a different muffler. I fixed the idle problem, but it developed a strange hesitation problem on takeoff. Soon I'm gonna put the sway bars back on and hopefully that will stiffen it up in corners. So I got on it hard, and once vtec engaged it rolled smoke and AFR hit 18. I let out of it and it went back to normal. I'm not sure if super lean can cause smoke, but when I upped fuel, it was still a bit lean but much less smoke. I'm not sure if it's the reason, but I'm gonna keep messing with it, and if it doesn't clear up, it's gonna be a rebuild for me I guess. When I parked it it didn't burn oil, but it's been setting for 3 years.

Not sure. Gonna have to just poke around and get some more data, but it didn't seem like it was misfiring, but it did hit like 18 or so.

Thanks guys. There was a lot of learning involved in building it. When I started, I hadn't really welded anything except with a shitty arc welder. Anyways, I swapped mufflers yesterday, and it cut the drone down a lot but I only took it around the block. I'm gonna go drive around and tune the fuel. I gotta get vtec to not be so fucked up.

Re: AWD Integra GSR build
So yea it's mad lean when I get on it. I've got the injectors going static at the top end (around 9k).I bumped up the fuel on hi cam across the board and it fattened it out a bit but 6k+ is still lean. I've got a 65lb walboro fuel pump on it and I have an adjustable regulator I haven't installed yet. Maybe I can bump the press up and not have to upgrade injectors. I realize it's not ideal, but it should stop the injectors from going static. The bitch pulls hard in first but sometimes it stutters when it's low rpm and high load. I get all the drivability problems out of the way and get the cv shafts and I may put the turbo back on it, which will make me have to buy injectors.

Re: AWD Integra GSR build
That FPR will help a lot. Probably not enough pressure at the top end. I had the same problem with an all motor build running stock regulator and the injectors were at max duty cycle. Bumped it up to 45-50 psi and it worked out just fine.

Just realized I don't have a fuel press gage. I'll install the regulator, but until I get a gage it's not really gonna do me any good.

Yea I'll get some up at some point, things are just super hectic for me now and all my projects are back on the shelf for the moment. I still haven't sourced cv axles yet either though.

I like how when I look at similar threads portion, it's all stuff from 03. Anyways, I don't want anyone that's been keeping up with me that I gave up on this or died or anything. It's done except the rear cvs. I have been driving it to and from work for a while, but I had to go on deployment. Now that I'm back, I'm at the point of getting out of the navy. I've done my 6 years and am ready to be a civilian again. Which would make me a veteran and makes me feel old. Anyways, I still haven't gotten the cvs because I'm looking for a job and house now. I have a month until I'm unemployed and homeless. But I haven't forgotten about finishing this. I intend to beat the absolute **** out of this until things won't break and I'm satisfied with the product. Once I start the destructive testing , I'll post vids.

Re: AWD Integra GSR build
I literally registered just to put this down, because it seems like your missing an obvious solution on those axles- that oem ones are rebuildable.
So my thought is, if you can get the right size shafts machined and a rebuild kit, what's stopping you from putting the right CV splines on both sides?

The guts inside do not match between the crv axles and a 28 spline axle. If you look inside the boot, the splines that hold the tulip (bearing part) are different and the tulip shape itself is different. I bought several different axles to try to come up with a combo but nothings quite right. My best bet is just to get the measurements and have them built. Unfortunately I noticed the worn out rubber grommets threw the geometry off and they have to be replaced and the parts for the suspension resized appropriately. So that's a bit more work.Unfortunately there's a lot going on so the frankencar has kinda slid to the side. I'm looking to get a lift for the garage, and the wife's car is literally on its last leg (80psi in one cylinder). I bought a 90 crx that needed a bit of head work for 500 bucks.it's pretty clean but the head was shot. I'm waiting on that head to come back so I can slap it together so the wife can use it till I rebuild hers. Once hers is done then it's back to frankencar. Also I have a full gsr swap that would fit the crx minus mounts and clutch system. (it's an auto). Contemplating doing the swap but I think I'll wait till frankencar car is done.

Re: AWD Integra GSR build
I will definitely look into that. I thought I had exhausted all possible off the shelf axles. No real new news ATM. Life priorities changed a bit. But it's still on my mind. My buddy bought a 4runner and the motor ate itself within a week so it was the focus for a while. Also, I picked up a Crx for the wife to drive after her 92 da bit it. It was cheap and just needed a little love but it can't be a long term solution cuz I need more than 2 seats so her car is now priority. Also trying to source a 2 post lift for the shop. I'm contemplating relocating the fuel cell to get it a bit further off the ground. The projects not dead by any means but I have other things to take care of. Got a bit excited talking to a friend about it so I might start tinkering again. Also found out I have to go through emissions which might be a pain, so that's been a bit discouraging. And to answer your question about the subframe, I used it because of the fact that it had brackets for the lca and was already centered. It originally was just a shortcut but it helped keep everything centered. When I removed the upper bracket off it it slid between the subframe rails with almost no slack so it was like it was made to go there.

Re: AWD Integra GSR build
Just a heads up research the 92/93 DB9 integra. It awd factory but not offered in the US. I'm trying to find parts to throw on my jdm b20b turbo build lol
