Any information about the Venom 400 Module for GSR's....?
A friend of mine has an old Venom 400 module the he took off of his totalled 2000 GSR. On the box it says for "90-95 1.8L DOHC" but he says after calling Venom about this they told him that it would work on his as well. My question is does anyone have any expirience with this part? The box advertises 25% power gain, but we all know that's BS. Anyway, I can get this for free...so I that's why I'm asking.

I remember reading somewhere, this guy did a huge write up on it, i can't find it anymore, and what he said was that if your not at WOT you will gain power, but if you are at WOT you won't gain anything, somthing along those lines

From what I"ve read, all it does is trick the ECU into thinking your at a higher throttle position than you really are. IMHO, it's a POS.

IT DOSNT WORK
I HAVE A 94 CIVIC DX WIT THE D15(NON V-TEC).IT DOSE NOTHING AT ALL. WHAT IT SEEMS LIKE IS THAT THE MOTOR IS GETTING TOO MUCH FUEL THEN IT CAN TAKE.ALSO IT SAYS THAT IT KICKS IN FROM 1000 TO 5000 RPM BUT THE LITTLE RED LIGHT WILL STAY ON PAST 5000 RPM WHICH MAKES ME THINK ITS JUST A $300 BOX OF NOTHING.(THANK GOD I GOT IT FROM A FRIEND).
SO IM MY CASE ON THE SMALL SMALL D15 IT DIDNT WORK.
