Already Searched: Tranny mounting bolt
hey h-t, my buddy just replaced his ls tranny with a new one and the 2 bolts that mount it to the car on the passenger side were stripped.
does anyone on here happen to know what size they are, the thread pitch, or pretty much any info on them?

i have had this happen too. if i remember correctly, they are M12x1.25mm pitch. you can take the bolt down to get it measured at the hardware store if need be.
the best thing to do is helicoil the bolt holes. i have used helicoil to repair motor mounts and tranny mount holes. works great.

Re: Already Searched: Tranny mounting bolt
I just had this fixed. The last bolt finally gave way on the interstate and my axle ended up being the only means of support.... that was a scary trip to work. They fixed it with a helicoil kit and ended up using larger 20 X 3/4 bolts. I made sure they used lock tight on those as well. But yes, like billy said, they are m12 with a 1.25 thread pitch. And if need be for you, I can email you the invoice they gave me so you can use that as a means of getting a fair quote in case you didn't want to do it yourself.
