All Motor Question
First post, I would like to introduce myself. I'm Ken, 30 currently working for the USAF as an aircraft tech.
Here are some questions I have:
I bought a JDM 97 GSR from HMotorOnline.com and planned to build a DD car, no race or boost later. Boost cost way out of my budget so I decided to go for ALL MOTOR. I recently purchase a Competition Clutch Stage 2, OBD1 chipped ECU, 3" magnaflow quiet exhaust and will do 3" pipe. What I will do next are: replaces: head gasket OEM, head bolts, timing belt OEM, polish intake manifold, AEM fuel rail, DC 4-1 header and short ram intake (lot of flood in my area during rain season, cold air is no go for me). So by doing all this and tune... can I get at least 190hp or close to it? This is my first build integra.... can't wait for the first engine start up.
thanks in advance.

Re: All Motor Question
no
assuming you keep stock internals, cams, pistons, etc., you'd be somewhere in the vicinity of 160-170 at the wheels.
that engine is rated at 180bhp, so assume a 15% drivetrain loss brings it to ~150whp. tack on another 10 or so hp with those mods and there you go.

Re: All Motor Question
its never enough LOL....but 190 whp? or 190 crank? i suggest you get a tri y header instead of the dc 4-1s they pull way better numbers through their design, but on top of your bolts ons youll need cams/valvetrain atleast + the tune, and since you mentioned the fuel rail im guessing youre already planning on some injectors ? you should consider it though stock is pushing it
found these specs on a youtube dyno vid..
