Default Air Conditioning not working

I can't figure this out, there are a bunch of threads with people with similar or the same problems but none of them post whether they fixed it or not or how they did. My a/c was working prioer to installing my turbo kit, it wasn't very cold but it was working. Now I can't seem to get the compressor clutch to engage and the fan doesn't work either. I can press the button and the idle will change but nothing comes on. I know one my relays went out(i think the condensor fan relay, might have been the compressor clutch relay right next to it but it was one of the 2) I replaced it with a RC-2203(instead of RC-2201) because I had an extra and the schematics are the same its just the housing and how they clip on that are different. I have tried a RC-2201 from a 2nd gen teg and it didn't work either. I have tried using a jumper wire on both relay locations to see if the fan would come on or if the compressor would click, neither work.

I'm looking for some tips on things to try, its not that I really use A/C I just want it working, and I am getting my windows tinted as soon as I can fix this A/C issue, because I can't roll down the windows for a while after the windows gets tinted, and I will surely die with no a/c and no air flowing through the car in this HOT texas weather. If you had this problem, tell me how you fixed it, if you have any ideas on how to diagnose would could be causing it, let me know. I have tried a different climate control unit as well just to see if that was an issue, still no luck.

You said that your ac was working, but not blowing very cold. That probably means that you were already low on refridgerant. Now after your turbo install, the compressor won't engage, that is probably because you are too low on refridgerant to engage the compressor. Put a gauge on your low side and see what you have or just add a can or two. Just a shot at one of many possible causes.

Well actually thats what I thought but, I tried that but nothing happened, nothing was taken from the can, I was told that if the compressor doesn't kick on that theres nothing to pull it into the system?

What was your PSI measurement for your R-134A refrigerant?

I recently did an R-134a retrofit on my Integra, but since it it older than yours the reading may differ. I had a bout 30-40 PSI on my low side. Remember the low side pressure is typically higher than R-12 systems because more coolant, and higher pressures are need with R-134a due to the fact that r-134a transfers less heat per volume than r-12 . Anyway check your manual or dealer for the correct low side pressure. I had to go 10 higher psi than the manual suggested to get decent cooling.

I'll check, but I can't even get the compressor or compressor fan to kick on at all anymore.

You may wish to check the clutch on the compressor. There is a way to check it, but check your manual or AC manual for your particular car. There are some electronics that regulate the control of the compressor based on coolant line pressure. CHeck these too. Before doing that check your high and low side pressures with a manifold gauge set or check low side with an auto store bought gauge. AT least that will tell you if the compressor is working. Just because you don't hear the compressor slow the engine down doesn't mean it isn't working. That is because if the compressor doesn't have any coolant to compress it won't slow the engine down. Run these checks and let us know where you stand.

Ok I have an update, all wires and relays have checked out I have traced the wires hot down to the dash, the A/C thermostat is bad. It is located behind your glove compartment it looks kinda like a relay it is black and has 3 wires running into the left side of it, you can see it if you pull down the glove box and look between the dash and the glove compartment, its right in the center. I have also traced part of my issue down to my ECU, it might be that I accidently spliced into the wrong wires and left them bare when I was wiring up my wideband o2, or it may be that I have to replace the ECU, hoping for the latter as I don't want to rechip an ECU.

Bringing back up from the dead cause I'm having some AC issues.

If the OP is still around, did you ever figure out what it was? What is that thing under the dash?

I tore my motor down a couple years ago and just got the car on the road this weekend. Having no AC sux...
