Default 91 Integra starts up, but dies right after!

Hey guys! I hope I can get some help. Alright so within the last week my car has been acting really weird, specifically for it not wanting to start up and keep running. I used to turn the key and I would hear it crank, but it didn't start up. So, I replaced the starter and got new one. So now it starts up fine, it just can't keep running.

When I try to start up my car, I turn the key through the first two clicks and it's fine, but as I turn it that third time for it to start, it starts up only to die shortly after (when I release the key for it to go back to its normal resting position). This happens every time. I start it and as soon as I let go of the key it just dies.

THE WEIRD THING IS, that once I start it, if I continue to hold the key in that third position (not grinding the starter), my car will stay on. It's as if nothing has happened. As a matter of fact, I even had to drive it like that for a short distance to get back home. It was unbelievably awkward having to hold the key while driving, but the fact is I made it home just fine and dandy. When holding the key though, as soon as you let go of it, it dies.

What could this be?? I've been doing some research and I've come to the conclusion that it could be the ignition switch, but I'm not positive. If it were the ignition switch, would I also have to switch the whole ignition including the part where I put the key in? I really don't wanna have to get a new key.

Here's some screenshots from the Helm's Factory Service Manual for my da that specifically talk about the ignition switch.

Do you guys agree that it could be the ignition switch??? I don't want to go down the road of buying parts that won't fix the problem. Any help would be great. Thanks!

But if you want a quick answer, it indeed was the ignition switch. All you have to do is remove the lower panel covers under the steering wheel and locate the harness. The ignition switch it is at the end of it, where it also connects to two relax boxes (look at first picture above). Hope this helps out man.
