Default 425 HP Turbo LS Motor @ 22 PSI

http://www.jgenginedynamics.com/dynotests5

425 HP at the wheel @ 22 PSI with racing fuel

...Whoever thinks that LS motors have no potential because they have "no-vtec" are ignorant. This is just something to give hope for us LS owners.

nice, but then again you see a dyno test for the B18C which puts out 501 hp @24 psi so either way,
VTEC is the way to go

But, look at the torque curves. Who would win in the 1/4 mile? HP isn't everything.

RedTeg1, what are you talking about?

And that GS-R is pushing 501 at 24 not 22.

RedTeg1: There are lots of people that I know of that say if you don't have a VTEC Turbo, then your not worth it on the tracks.

the B18C. Broader torque and HP curve...looks pretty obvious to me.

I think the b18c would win. If you could manage to get the power to the ground. The extra time that you can stay in the gear with higher rpm accounts for a lot. If both had ls trannies I think the b18c would definately win.

exactly. many people put down the LS motor just because it doesn't have VTEC, lol. then RedTeg1 tries to say no one says that.

I don't care about bashing, just facts. I have owned 2 g3 integras. An ls and a gsr.

Let's not forget the street trim of these motors on pump gas okay.

b18a
326.3 Hp and 267.4 Lbs. of torque at the wheels, 14 PSI of boost on 92 Octane fuel
B18c
On 92 Octane, it makes 332 Hp and 330 Lbs. of torque at the wheels, 15 PSI of boost.

Regardless, neither of these motors would have much competition on the street anyway. I believe once you have more that 300whp in a 2700 pound car, you are fast enough for the street.

I may not have a B18C in my car, but, I'm happy with the B18B.

Bottom line: I've seen plenty of LS's kill GSR's, just as I've seen plenty GSR's kill LS's. It all depends on what you do to your damn car.

Why the hell are all of you arguing about something soooo stupid?

I'm sorry, but, for those of you who say that car's without Vtec ain't ****, because they don't have the high end rpm's, you should read up on a little more before opening your mouths. Look at Supra's, 300ZX's, RX-7's, even Camero's and Mustangs. They don't rev up to 8200 rpm, yet, manage to keep up with all of the high revving cars. Makes you think sometimes why everyone thinks that you have to be able to rev extremely high to get power out of a car.

I have heard of rotaries reving to 10k in street form. I want one to play with.

You guy's are all a bunch of Whiney Idiot's, Who cares, the simple answer to this question is, what are the Fastest Hondas running? Answer VTEC. Why, because of there superior head Design and there superior abilit to breath under boost. Now I love the B18A/B motors, but if I was going for all out power AND reliability, why would I waste more effort attempting to get more power out of a lesser engine (And YES it is lesser). The B18A/B motor is an excellent street motor in my opinion, but a shitty race motor.

wah wah wah
you guys want some chesse to go with that wine?

I've got a project RX7, triple rotorary, twin turbo, set up to rev to 11k, but it doesn't really do as much good as you'd think. the integra is so much better as a daily driver... 28 MPG in the city. i just can't complain.

You guys are pretty pathetic.

A street motor (VTEC/non-VTEC) is not a race motor. An 14K rpm 1000hp F1 motor is a race motor. We all have fast street motors.
