Default Lost Foam/Molding material

Anyone know where I can get some molding material for some carbon fiber/carbon kevlar projects I will be starting on soon? I've gotten the flat panel work down well and now I want to progress to some shapes and so forth. Also carbon fiber sock. All I have been able to get my hands on so far is the flat fabric. Any suggestions are appreciated. And no, this isnt for the inside of the car, or a big wing, or ebrake handle

By lost foam do you mean water soluable structure foam? It is expensive but Aquacore (brandname) is moldable, machinable, and resists expoy resins. Once you mold the CF around it.....submerge in water and it dissolves away.

I have looked at the aquacore foam and have considered it, but I am still an uber rookie at this so I was looking for something a bit cheaper that I could ruin before stepping up to the good stuff.

For Carbon Sock: contact A&P Technology, http://www.braider.com. They are a leader in that type of product.

Hope that helps...we use it for intake runners on our Formula SAE car at the University of Cincinnati. Works great!
