Default b16 dyno results

My first time at the dyno.
88 hatch w/jdm b16a.
Mods are i/h/e, ctr crankpulley, itr manifold w/port matched 70mm tb, chipped pr3, b&m fpr @50 psi.
Stock internals and timing.

Is this about right with these mods? Opinions

Damn that VTEC is some good ****. Very smooth lines. Looks like HP was still increasing when they shut it down.

makes my B16 look weak in comparison...i only dynoed at a lousy 134whp. Of course, you have an IM and TB.

my b16 made 138hp and 104tq ... if i remember correctly ... with i/h/e/pulley/cam gears.

so those numbers look pretty nice to me.

Any idea what a B16 w/i/h/e/afpr/high vol fuel pump/Mugen PR3/CTR cams would typically put out?

The HP is very good for a B16 and the TQ is also good for a B16.

Damn I guess that IM and TB made a difference.

Very nice man keep it up.

be happy. You got a good jdm junkyard motor, they're always a gamble, you got a gem.

That's what i wanted to see.

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by Reelizmpro &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">Any idea what a B16 w/i/h/e/afpr/high vol fuel pump/Mugen PR3/CTR cams would typically put out? </TD></TR></TABLE>

I'd probably make 160 whp with those cams and the itr valvetrain.

I was curious to know what it would put down. Going to the track, also for the first time, 10-1-04.
I'll keep you posted.

This motor is done. Going to begin building the b18c block now. I'd do ctr cams/itr valvetrain next, but it's a waste of money in my case. I plan to make 230 whp all motor.

The motor is healthy

Thanks everybody

I'm not spending anymore on the b16. That's what i meant. After my obd 1 conversion i'm building a 2.0 poorman's r.

Poormans "R" is the ish! Just don't use an ecu chipped from inlinefour I found that out when mine kept giving me a code 73 only<U></U> in reverse! I love my poormans "R" though I can't wait to dyno it and take it to the track. It's just a pain because I have to drive an hour to do everything. Good numbers can't wait to see times!
