he pmed me saying he was interested in my canon g2. but soon came up with the story that hes going to college in 5 days, and needs me to ship the camera the day he "sends the money", he claims he doesnt have pay pal so the only way he claims he can do this is mail me a money order and i ship the camera the same day. so i was naturally suspicious.
i ask him to get the money order, have it printed out with the money ammount on it, and print my name visibly on it, take a picture and send it to me. he tells me "i dunno last time the guy wanted me to do that and i tryed taking one with my cam and it turned out shity and he thought i was ripping him off so the money order went to waste lol", once he said that, i was even more suspicious, but i want to make things work out, so i told him just to try his best and get good pictures and send them to me full sized 1600x1200 (should have been plenty big enough to see the writing on the mo).
so later that night i meet him online, and not to my surprise, he claims he went and got the money order, but the pictures he took were bad and you couldnt make any thing out, so i say just send them, i dont care, send them full sized, i want to see them. he then says "i deleted them". even more suspicious at this point, i tell him, go take more pictures. he responds with "the cameras locked in my moms room" "ill take pics in the morning", as to not taking any chances with these "not turning out" i told him that this was starting to seems really sketchy, and the only way im gonna ship the camera before i have the money is if i need my name in big, black bold letters on the money order saying my name. and if he mails it first class with a tracking number. he tells me that hes gonna take new pics, do all this stuff, and e-mail me "first thing in the morning".
at this point i run a few searches on his name, and see that he had like 10-15 nominations for "HT survivor" where people vote for the member they want banned, and i see that he was just recently demoted to trial user.
so im him about all this stuff... he doesnt reply, 20 min later he says "sorry, gotta go" and instantly goes away.
morning comes around, and not to my surprise, no e-mail, not a word from him.
afternoon comes around, and at 5pm, i im him once again about all of this, and he instantly switches to away mode and ignores me.
it obvious he was trying to scam me, and he knows it. i caught on to him, and he started ignoring me.
TY_ if you are reading this, i am highly considering reporting you to the FBI for attempted mail fraud. dead aim logs all of my convos. you tried to scam the wrong person, and i gaurantee you, this isint going to end here. attempted fraud is just as serious as fraud. the only difference is i wanst stupid enough to fall for your scheme.

wow, i hope you do go through with it and get him in trouble cuz scammers are what ruins this whole honda community. its the reason why when you see an awesome deal on something you question its validity cuz idiots like this guy TY_ screw people over just to gain a couple hundred dollars.
