installed Fastbrakes 11" upgrade w/2pc directional vein rotors
I've been having brake issues with my 99-00 SI brakes on my 97 Hatch. Seems that the 10.2" brakes are just too small for my race car. So I decided to try out the fastbrakes 11 inch upgrade. This includes 2 "ITR" type calipers (I believe mine were 2001 CRV) and 2 piece 11" directional vein rotors.
The kit came with aluminum mounting hats, rotors, hub centric rotor rings, allen bolts and some washers to correctly center the caliper.

I used red loctite on the allen bolts when installing the mounting hats. I also opted to go with the pads I've been running, the Carbotech XP9's
Installation is fairly straight forward, but I'd recommend to get some different thickness washers. I ended up using a slightly thicker washer to properly space the caliper around the rotor. Warning these rotors are THICK!! were talking about caliper clearance in millimeters! You need to take your time to make sure the rotor does not contact the caliper mounting bracket.

The total weight of the brake upgrade is only 3lbs heavier per side then the 99-00 Civic SI rotors and calipers.

... if I didn't already have the 11" OEM caliper upgrade I'd be sure to get this...can't wait for the review after your race..just wondering what is the weight of the rotor alone not including the caliper? as my corrado 11" rotors are pretty heavy

I didn't weigh the rotors but the web site says they ar 2lbs lighter per rotor then the regular 11".

Old post but I figured I'd update it.
I had to work out a couple issues but now the brake system is working out great. When I first put them on last season I found the brakes were vibrating so I got the rotors cut before this season and that fixed the issue. I also realized last season that I needed the ITR caliper mounting brackets vs. the CRV's. The CRV brackets didn't have enough width to clear the thick rotors (also the reason I had to use extra washers to space out the caliper) so I tried to file them (which didn't really work) so in the end I picked up the correct ITR caliper mounting brackets. The ITR's are offset properly, wider to fit around the thicker rotor and won't contact the rotor surface.
First race this year was at CMP, a track known for destroying brakes. They were perfect, very little fade. Then a very hot weekend at Summit giving 2 of my fellow H1 racers brake issues, broken rotors ect. Mine seem to be working fine. I'd like to give a quick thanks to Brian at fastbrakes for putting together a great product that actually holds up in real racing scenarios.

regardless how old this post is. thanks for the update.. Just wondering is brian aware that the use of CRV brackets will cause a problem with rotor clearance when used with the thicker rotors? or can you still use the CRV brackets with thicker washers to cure this? thanks

I believe Brian is aware of the CRV bracket issue. It's not just that the CRV's mounting brackets are the wrong offset but there is not enough width to clear the rotors. If you were to use CRV calipers I would just get the ITR mounting brackets and be safe.
