So I suppose there's no easy way to replace the rear tranny mount...

Default So I suppose there's no easy way to replace the rear tranny mount...

I have the motor out, but it looks as though there's no getting to the rear bolt without removing the back crossmember. Say it isn't so! The bolts by the green arrows are out, but it's the back bolt (red arrow, but you can't see it in this picture) that's going to be the problem.

U-joint and a super long extension. Looking at it I thought there was NO WAY that would fit. You just made my weekend, man.

I did mine recently, and the u-joint/extension works like a champ.

charged a guy 200 bucks to install a new mount kit in his crx with b series.....he didn't understand why it was so much.....causeit is the biggest pain in da *** ever!!!!!

Even better than a U-joint is a wobble head socket extension. It will allow just enough movement to get into the socket and is not bulky so it will slide inbetween the heater cable and fuel line much easier. Also if you no longer care about the mount you can tap it with a large (heavy) hammer to gain easier access to the bolt.

Laughing reading this cause I am finishing up my second crx swap in two days and started on three tomorrow
