Real Compression rate of CTR pistons in a B18C1
Okay ive searched and searched and searched for the answer to this question: Real Compression rate of CTR pistons in a B18C1. most of you say 12:5:1. some say 11:5:1. I have them in my GSR with JUN III, and they did make a major difference verses the stock pistons. I just want to know what the compression rate is.
what are ur cam gear settings? since u have higher compression pistons
the pistons will have valve reliefs and u can set them higher +1 +2 +3? ect...
did u tune them?

wont be tuning them until i get to a dyno. Cant go much on jun 3 with CTR pistons dont want any piston to valve contact.

CR will be 12.5:1 in a B18C block with B18C head.
How do you know that 0,0 is "safe"? Have you checked to see that your cam gears
are same as stock at 0? Have you checked your cam specs to see that they are
at ACTUAL 0?
If you are going to leave your cams as installed, then dont bother doing any more
mods because its obvious that you arent interested in making power.
If you are truly worried about valve/piston contact, you should go ahead and clay
the head. That will tell you where your bounds on moving the cam are.

oh boy.....yeah im not interested in making power..hello. I have the stock cam gears on for now. I am not too experianced with cam tuning. The head was clayed for tolerences. I will be getting dyno time, and I will have an experianced person dyno-tuning my car. I have already contacted a tuner in my town.

Can't use OEM pistons on aftermarket rods(unless you have circlip reliefs machined into the pistons = not worth the money!) Godd Luck though!!
for the time being you should have had your builder degree the cams while the motor was being built ... oh wait these are JUN cams and JUN has no degreeing specs last time I checked
Well good luck, lemme know if you need more horsepower, I'm in central Jersey and HP is my middle name
