okay so after almost 2 years of having my ITR cams in, i finally decided to get my *** up and dyno it. i went to the same place as my old dyno 2 years ago, so i was able to get my old numbers on the graph as well.
today we did 3 runs, and the awesome guys at ATP turbo (shameless props!) did some quick tuning on my VAFC since i was running pretty lean from 5000-7000. as you can see on the chart, my old graph made more power where a GSR's VTEC should be at (the red line), so after the runs i brought my VTEC point down to 4600 which should cure that a bit.
anyway, the <FONT COLOR="red">red</FONT> line is my GSR two years ago with the following:
exhuast: GReddy SP
cams: --stock--
intake: AEM Cold Air Intake
header: --stock--
throttle body: BBK 70MM
VAFC (and some quick tuning)
the <FONT COLOR="blue">blue</FONT> and <FONT COLOR="green">green</FONT> lines are my GSR today with the following:
exhuast: GReddy SP
cams: '00 Integra Type R
intake: --stock-- (with BSQ DIY intake tube)
header: Comptech 4-2-1 TIG
throttle body: --stock--
VAFC (and some quick tuning)
so notice that in the 2 years between the dynos, i lost the AEM CAI (cuz it broke) and the big *** throttle body. so it's not a true baseline, but it gives me an idea of what i gained.
the final numbers for today were 159.1 HP & 118.1 ft/lbs, compared to two years ago with 151.8 HP & 112.8 ft/lbs.

and the happy car

so all in all, i was satisfied although a bit annoyed because i didn't hit 160. however, if kragen auto had recieved the RU-2820 filter in on monday like they said when i ordered it last week, i would have at least hit 160 after replacing the stock paper filter. so i was satisfied.
hope this helps anyone who's planning to get ITR cams or wants an idea of what they're running!

Kind of pointless w/out the cam gears. Looks kind of like leggo building. Did you have a plan for this car or just throw random parts at it and see what the numbers were?
You need an Intake of some sort, and a highflow cat, along with adjustable came gears. Did you move your intake springs to the exhuast side and get ITR intake springs?
This system is not complete. So thats why your numbers are low. What does "some quick tuning" entail?

I agree, I think that with a more "complete" setup it will yield a more considerable gain. Nice car nonetheless

I had an AEM CAI, but the mounting bracket ripped off so I took it off. By then, I was done putting big money into the car so I just put my stock box back in w/ a $5 BSQ pvc pipe that i bought from Bob-DC2.
I bought cam gears, but I never had the time to install them (I feel like an echo right now) and after a little while had to sell them for textbook money. I felt it wasn't worth the $200 + true tuning time (not a quick 3-run adjustment like i just did) to move a few degrees for OEM cams. These aren't aggressive cams. Had I gotten skunk2 or other aftermarket cams, that would have been a different story. A lot of people get ITR cams as just drop-ins, and eventually I just left it at that.
The "quick tuning" was, like I said, the dyno guys at ATP fixing my lean problems between runs. I feel like an echo again.
My numbers are low, but I was satisfied with what I have. So I don't really care if it's "incomplete", because I stopped buying mods for this car a year ago since I take it to San Diego and it may get stolen, it's not worth putting in more money that I don't have.
I also didn't bother to put in the ITR valvesprings (which I also sold for textbook money) because I kept my stock redline, and I have no experience taking off the head.
I did not just throw "random parts" on my car, I pretty much take a month deciding on a part because I never want to spend the money, so I make sure I do my research. These have all been in my car for at least 2 years and were all installed around the same time. But at that, I have spent more than 2/3 of the money I have put into this car on the suspension components. Shocks, springs, tires, bars, etc. etc. I put more effort into those than engine components.
(oh, but I have been looking at cats lately.)

I bought it when I was first modding (I was 16). My friend was selling all his parts from his GSR turbo setup because he decided on a Supra, so he sold me his brand new BBK 70MM TB cheap. So I slapped it on and never really felt a difference, but it felt like the car was definitely getting overwhelmed by so much air coming in. The throttle response was amazing, but other than that the car felt sluggish at times. So eventually (like a year later because I needed money and realized it was useless) I just took it off and sold it to another guy building a turbo setup, which is what it's meant for.
So bottom line, if you're diong a big turbo setup, 70MM is a good buy. But not on a N/A setup with just bolt-ons.

your numbers aren't low.
people who think there are is a set # for certain setups are ridiculous.
different time, different dyno, different day, different numbers. period.
good #'s, like i said before... now i feel like an echo.

um forget the 2820 and buy an e-2427
has the oem plastic elbow on it for the stock intake arm. my ghetto intake started pulling away from the plastic base of the original paper air filter so i ditched it in favor for a perfect fitting K&N filter(the e-2427) cost you about 60 bucks

koni yellows, skunk2 coils (came w/ the car) down about 1.5", skunk2 camber kit, ITR rear sway, ITR front strut, potenza S-03s ($$$), rear trunk bar
i was opting for a tein set rather than the konis when i bought them, but money matters changed (as they always manage to for me).

2820 was $25 at kragen for me... i was just looking for a cheap replacement because it's not worth it for me to put any more serious money into the car if it gets stolen.
