Default Rb26dett motor in a civic?

Alright guys i think this is almost virtually impossible but is there any way i could convert a civic into an all-wheel drive rb26 monster? I have 15 grand and more if i have to use it and i will be doing all the fabrication in my shop.

I DONT want to hear any bullshit about " just put a b18 or an s2000 motor in it."

All i wont to know is if it can be done and what do you think of it.

Please keep all comments out of this tread if it does not involve tech support.

Come on help me all you motor gurus. Thanks

Race200sx: hmmmm
Race200sx: CROSSED MY MIND
Race200sx: why
ReflectivDreams: You might want to explain more, that motor is heavy and useless.
ReflectivDreams: only good in a skyline thats about it
Race200sx: tell that to the skyline owners
Race200sx: nope
ReflectivDreams: and you expect to put it in a civic.
Race200sx: civic is lighter
Race200sx: yea
Race200sx: with a lot of fabrication
ReflectivDreams: and you think its going to weight the same?
Race200sx: no
ReflectivDreams: I dont think so.
ReflectivDreams: Wieght goes to **** and the car will wait 3,000lbs...
Race200sx: but the overall weight of the car is going to be lighter than the skyline itself
ReflectivDreams: = useless
Race200sx: no it wont
ReflectivDreams: Are you daily drive it also...
Race200sx: the motor doesnt weigh a 1000pounds
ReflectivDreams: You aren't that exprienced, from what I'm understanding.
ReflectivDreams: You forgot about the drive line
ReflectivDreams: the shaft
ReflectivDreams: the axles
ReflectivDreams: the transmission
ReflectivDreams: that motor is too heavy
ReflectivDreams: 3,000 lbs
Race200sx: the motor isnt that ******* heavy do your research
Race200sx: i just wanted some extra opinions
ReflectivDreams: Really how much does it wieght 200sx...
Race200sx: the motor
Race200sx: 500-600lbs
ReflectivDreams: show me proof
Race200sx: no more than a chevy 454
Race200sx: just stop talkin.....im sure your just scared that it will be accomplished and will be able to beat yours

ReflectivDreams: Wtf do I want to know about a skyline, what this : OMG a skyline motor!
Race200sx: b18-maybe 160hp skyline rb26-dynoed at 304.2hp
ReflectivDreams: wow maybe cause it has forced induction
Race200sx: so is my grandmother and thats why i want an rb26 motor
ReflectivDreams: You dont go comparing the 2.
Race200sx: yea you do
Race200sx: line them up
Race200sx: in racing it doesnt matter you lose you lose
Race200sx: plain and simple
ReflectivDreams: You dont make any sense you haven't posted any facts
Race200sx: whatever you say APC MAN
Race200sx: i told you that i just wanted opinions
Race200sx: and wanted if any one could share GOOD info on the project
Race200sx: nothin else
Race200sx: ?

ReflectivDreams: B-series or K-series mount the engine in front of the rear axle.
Race200sx: weak
Race200sx: wtf
Race200sx: so the engine would **** in the back seat
Race200sx: i dont think so

Look i know about all kinds of cars. I dont care what you people think of it.
I also never stated that owned a shop. And yes i will be able to do any fabrication i need to perform.
The question was for my friend because he wants to put a skyline motor in his 97 civic hx and i was like i dont think it will fit but i wanted to know from someone that knew first hands on that has heard of or has done it.
Obviously money isnt an issue because im asking this question.
Im not a NOOB so stop the bullshit remarks....if you want to talk **** open up and PM and send it to me. Im sure all of the true honda geeks know what im talking about. Alright peace.

LIAR!

I messed around with him some more and apparently:

''mid engine placement is not better than front engine RWD''

''Front engine RWD has traction on the front wheels thats why its better''

''mid-engine rwd is for looks thats all'' ROFL

'' 14.7 psi absolute pressure is 0.5 bar ''

LOL

it would be easier if you bought a syline chassis and motor drivetrain , chopped it down and put a civic shell over it. thats still the stupidist thing i have ever heard of youll have alot of problems with it and if you do save on weight it wont be that much.. theres a reason they weigh so much...

the way i look at it is
any motor could go in any car if you spend enough time and money on it but is it really worth it

Well the way I see it I found a awd drivetrain setup from a crv and we are going to take a Vega chasis and just drop a civic coupe on top of the vega and work from there. Yea I think it is stupid too but my friend has the money and is persistant about, but hey when it is complete, and it will be, it will be hott as hell! And relativily fast considering it will weigh a lot less than a skyline.
Will be the first all wheel drive civic in the country.
