Default Sheet metal intake manifolds??

Let's see some pics of other people's homemade intake manifolds. Here's a few of the one I made for my old school '86 Civic Street Mod car:

Nice.

Do you happen to know of a good link where I can get information about calculating runner length, cross section area and plenum volume for a boosted engine?

on a related note; how about taking B series LS or type R manifold, cutting it back (at the head flange) and welding it to a D series intake side, head flange? This could give you a signifigantly larer plenum & runners and only involve 4 welds. might be a cheap way to make a FI IM for D series with a little porting and welding...

Also, this book http://www.amazon.com/exec/obi...07846 has an entire chapter dedicated to the subject.

Here is a couple of shots of a staged injection manifold that Don Polk built for our 2.3L car.

Another shot as I started setting up the fuel system.

the website is down

I think that mani looks really bad *** and well designed.. but,

I've always wondered how well two very dissimilar materials would bond together? And what about all the temperature changes the manifold would go through from day to day? Is bonding CF to aluminum a fairly common and proven thing? just curious..

I did a MR2 manifold a while back.
There wasnt anything as far as the specific plenum size and what not. It was just built to fit and Accompany a Larger TB.

anyways Cut up the Cast manifold plenum built this one, ported it all and 90mm q45 TB

runner lenth is easy devide the rpm that you want the most power at into 132,000
like 8000 into 132,000 is16.5 thats from the valveseat to the end of the runner
or stack depending on what style your running thats inches by the way

the "132,000/rpm" does nothing to account for runner diameter...
