Default CEL come on with the oil pressure sending unit unplugged?

I am wondering this question. I searched and can not find an answer. I replaced it with a sending unit that came with the oil pressure gauge

I'm not sure about other vehicles, but on my '90 Integra (OBD-0) I do not get a CEL when the oil pressure sensor is unplugged. I'm assuming that you disconnected the sensor from the harness, but if it was still hooked up you would get a CEL because it would see no pressure.

Not on mine, it's been unplugged for almost a year.
