Default Just joined the 1.8 liter stock piston 210+ WHP club!! AYE!!!

After nearly 3000 restless miles, i finally had my car tuned by Tom Payn at Payn technologies.
here is my build...
1998 JDM ITR engine
head milled .020"
mugen head gasket
static comp. ratio calculated at 12.01:1
ARP studs
Toda Spec B's
Toda springs
Toda belt
Toda gears
Skunk2 Ti retainers
Toda Header
Hytech full 2.5" SS twin-loop exhaust (Thanks John!)
DH-racing crank pulley
Prodrive oil pump gear, baffled pan
NGK iridiums
AEBS intake manifold, self cleaned and port matched
Outlaw engineering intake manifold set
bored and tappered ITR TB 70-65mm (Thanks Jorge!)
stock R intake arm with Apexi power filter into comptech icebox
RC 310's
Hondata S200
FPR and that junk
Factory head work
Factory pistons

214.1 WHP @ 8800 RPM
135.8 TQ @ 8050 RPM

I was getting so excited, and so was Tom, When he first arrived to the tuning session, he asked me how much power i was looking to get, i told him 195 WHP and he said (refering to his AWD mustang dyno) "this dyno is known as the great disapointer"
Tom sat down and plugged in a map he had written from another ITR engine, and on first pull he made 200.8/129.3 12 pulls later it was all clear

i'm so stoked!
Payn Technologies!

Congrats!! Those are some great numbers for what looks like a pretty basic setup. Now take it to the track!

WOW! Have you ever Compression tested the motor? I wonder what numbers you'd pull. You got your self one damn strong motor.

ok kinda off topic of this.... but the mustang dyno reads alot higher then a regular dyno jet right? cause you can munipulate (sp) the settings and stuff with the weight of the car... am i on the right track?

i have always known that mustang dyno's cosistently read LOWER than dynojet's. i put it on a dynojet the very next day. but the guys who run it are idiots and i ended up with broken graph lines and missing tourqe values, etc. i was dissapointed.

the trans is a JDM ITR with factory 4.785 FD

Why do you say that?

Our Mustang dyno reads about 8% lower than a local dynojet. Most mustangs read about 12-13% lower.

Mustang Dyno's do read lower., so why would a higher HP and TQ number dissappoint him?

Great results, should be even better on a dynojet.

Nice setup too
