Decked the block .15 what is that exactly is my question. Just milling it or what? Looks great!

whoops, I meant OEM 3 layer. its 11.8 compression. i had it decked to bring comrpession up, I dont like Milling heads. Its stock stroke, it was a semi-budget build. No aftermarket pistons, no aftermarket rods, stock stroke, bored over, OEM pistons etc. trying to see 200whp

Edit, Decking the block is like milling the head. shave material off the block instead of the head.

Ahh ok. Cuz when you say decking the block, people usually thinking of putting a deck plate on and increase the stroke of the crank. But that looks great. Is that ceramic coated or spray painted header. Mine is ceramic coated and i LOVE the way it looks.

HEADER IS SICK!

Do they make it for a D series?

I was planning on a super high compression build d16 but have since changed my mind to go with boost.

200whp out of 11.3:1 compression and 1.6L??? I dunno man

Yes they make a header for D series. http://www.AN-R.com. My compression is 11.8:1, not 11.3:1. I have confidence ill see 190-195 whp BEFORE i get my headwork

yes they make them for d-series

and if you read his list, its a GSR w/ B16 pistons.. meaning 1.8l, not a 1.6l. I bet he could get close to 200.

You didnt say, how does the thing run? does it rip pretty good?

Runs real nice, im still wainting on my cams an manifold from Rocket, so on just Stock GSR cams and a Gen3 B16 manifold, it ran real nice. Lets Just say i upset a few Sr20's with frontmounts onthe highway. Ill have Dyno numbes up soon when i get my cams an some more cash lol

Big thanks go out to Rocket also, i just want to say he has one of the best organizations around. Cant wait to get his cams

Makes me anxious to get going on my build, i say if your looking for 200whp, ditch the vafc and get hondata, but great build, i guess you built it yourself, nice work. get some vids!

I got about $5000 in it not factoring in my new trans i bought (Ys1 with ITR LSD and final drive!) Not factoring in head work. the block alone cost me $700 for a GSR block, $600 in machine work, balancing, shotpeened rods, bore, hone ,deck, micropolish crank, ARP rod bolts, ARP head studs, new pistons rings, etc. Block cost me around 2200$ cause i have brand new oil pump, water pump, timing belt, seals gaskets etc. header cost $850(not for me though cams were $1000 from rocket which included valvetrain. THe block and header an cams were the most expensive part. but, isnt it always . I am really impressed with it, i cant wait to get dyno numbers.
