Default VSS SENSOR LOCATION NEEDED PLEASE! FOR A 4TH GEN 94 MANUAL PRELUDE

Hi I have looked all over my car for the speed sensor wire which I have been told by honda is somewhere on my gear box and I can acces it from the top. I have ripped my car to shreds looking for it and had no luck!
I am told its a blue/white wire. I need it to connect my GPS speed sensor to..

Does anyone know exactly where it is, and how I can get to it? I am not very good with mechanical names such as tranny, and coils etc. So please speak in the most simplest form possible

thanks and its great to be part of a whole gang of prelude lovers.

I really appreciate your help but is the tranny the gear box?

And from those pics it looks like i can open the bonnet and access it from there?

or are they from under the car?

thanks again.

Tranny = Transmission = Gear box

You access it from the top, and it will be towards the back of the transmission.

sorry to be a pain, when you say you can access it form the top i dont get it.
Do you mean from inside the car were the center console is? (I have ripped the center console and looked but no wires connecting there)

where is the gearbox for my car exactly? if i can locate that I should be able to figure out which wire it is..

thanks again.

Open the hood, standing in front of the car, the TRANSMISSION is attached to the motor on the left, under the intake. It's on the back side of that.

given your extremely limited knowledge of the engine bay and such why don't you just pay someone to install it.

It would be much more simple to tap into the VSS wire going into your ecu, although with your limited knowledge of the car it might be better to just stick to what works for you, just a suggestion though

Tap into the VSS wire at the ecu, much easier and cleaner.

if your taking the vss sensor off, i wouldn't disconnect the lines
that run to it, just undo the bolts

The ecu is located in the passenger side footwell, under a metal plate.

The VSS wire is in location B10, it is orange.

thanks for that mate.

I tried connecting the wire from the gearbox, but the speedo doesnt work then!
I will give this a shot, and if all fails will have to go and pay £170 for someone to just connect a wire from the vss to my stereo!

thanks
