Default painted dash. can you get it off?

theres a guy im buying a dash from and some of the pieces are painted red. can you use aircraft paint to remove this paint and restore it to its original condition? or is it not worth it and i just need to look a little more?

get some goof off remover and just dilute it with water so it wont discolor your dash...make sure they guy didnt sand the dash or something before he painted it cause that wouldnt look to hott

the aircraft paint removal stuff is too strong. i think it will eat through the vinyl or whatever material the dash is made of. the guy i bought my crx from painted the dash blue and you can almost just scrub the stuff off with hot water and soap but its a tough scrub. i would just keep looking around and find something thats untainted. that would be your best bet.

well its mostly around the center of the dash where the vents are, going down where the radio would be mounted and down to where the shift linkage comes through, which i believe is a plastic. the dash itself is the original color. that should be removable right?

His post is about as worthless as yours, and the one that I'm making now.

Spray it on, and rinse it off, if you only leave it on there for a minute or 2 it wont damage it.
