He'll most likely see a loss in high end but a slight gain in mid and low, The plate was actually designed for the B16A

Nope, it does not work on the ITR motor. You will lose power.

Its nothing to do with the B16 head, Its designed for the 1.6L engine and the B16A's cams

I see the rubber chicken with the Spoon stamp is still amusing you guys! Those things work so well the one that Autobacs had in their showcase three years ago is still there. Please do a before and after dyno plot for us disbelievers.

ok, yeah it is VENTURI. As for the "Venturi effect". A good example of this would be a garden hose. Without anything on the end of it, the hose flows water at a certain amount. Add a nozzle to it or a finger or two and the water comes out at a higher rate and shoots a lot farther.

This is seen in the coffee can exhausts with silencers.(i have one, so its not an attack) Without the silencer, I feel less low end, and MUCH higher top end power! With the silencer, I get more low and mid end torque. The sound also goes from deep rumble, to buzzy but very quiet... but this is getting off topic!

Anyways, i assume that the purpose of this spoon venturi plate is to give you more low to mid end torque, HOWEVER top end suffers! My exhaust is a good example of the venturi effect and a similar result is to be expected from the spoon venturi plate.

venturi effect:

upstream of the venturi=increased pressure, decreased velocity
downstream of the venturi=decreased pressure, increased velocity

That being said, I think that little bottle neck on the outlet side of the catalytic converter is there to decrease the velocity of the gases going through the cat (for emissions)...that's my theory.
