Default H22A4 Block question

Are all of the H22A4 blocks "atts ready" ? From all the crap ive seen, they are all the same weird *** design with the friggin oil filter way behind the head and no way to get to it from the bottom. Its a damn nightmare trying to do anything on my car. Ive got pictures of my car with the head off, and the new jun head going on. Everything looks good except for the fact it took forever to get the damn head off.

Nope.

There are two different types of H22A4 blocks. One for the base and another for the Type SH. Two different part numbers.

To get the ATTS to work on a Base block requires some work.

I see. So, are you just getting another block or are you looking for a complete bottomend? The reason why I ask is because you can't just swap in your 98 internals from your current motor into just any H22/H23 block. You have to get a 98+H22A4 block if you are looking for a simple swap of your internals into another block.

If you got a 92-96 H23 block or a 93-97 H22 block, you would have to get the block's main journals line-bored to 55mm by a machine shop.

Just wanted to let you know if you didn't know already.

Bit of a shameless plug but I have a M2F4 tranny with a quaife for sale. It's about the best gearing for racing you can get in H-series. If you're interested PM me. AND Please don't throw the SH block away. I will take it!
