Since ppl seem to be getting positive feedback from posting ripoffs, I thought I would make ppl be aware.I posted a "garage sale" ad on several sites, and this guy, CHATOUXAY SACDYPHOUD replied that he had something I was looking for(94+ TEG tranny), so we communicated thru e-mail, and I got his phone number and we talked like that...well, I sent him a postal money order for 400 and sent it signature required. After he got the money, he sent me an e-mail stating his cousin got the tranny, and he'd be sending me the money back...I wrote him, and he made some excuse that he was in an accident...but it's been over a month...I filed a complaint w/ the IFCC...now I dunno what else to do, so maybe you all can help..

another thing you can do is give that number to everyone you know and have them call constantly till he has to changes the number...Be careful w/ threats and stuff cause you don't want to be charged w/ anything..Maybe if he was scared things would change.."accidents happen" you know...If accidents do happen..hopefully it doesn't get back to you.

Just be careful..You don't want to do anytime in LA county!..probation sucks and so does community service..I'm wondering if the guy who sold you stuff, turboefprincess, is a part of a crew cause those names don't sound asian or indian to me... Either way he's gonna **** someone off..Some guys got shot at a local speed shop out here cause he sold some used parts.BTW i don't have any information on that..just heard about it at a party. I've got a 14 yr sister to take care of so I can't "talk" to anyone..Make sure you have two guys with you. A guy to come with you to talk to the residents..and a guy in the car just in case you need to leave in a hurry...

do not use paypal- it is easier to get ripped than with money order, even if you are verified, since all they require from the seller is proof of shipment- an envelope with a tracking # is enough, and they are off the hook with paypal. even if paypal finds them accountable, if they have no $ in their account, paypal won't do **** to refund you, even if they have the person's credit card or bank account #. use http://www.escrow.com -the seller does not get the $ from the escrow service until you get the merchandise, and you have at least 2 days to inspect it. if you do not like it, you pay to return it (shipping), but at least you get your $ back. it's easier than paypal (no personal account #s), and safe. they even cash money orders before prompting sellers to send stuff, to protect against bad sellers cancelling money orders after they send them.
as for your current case, call the guy's local police dept. and file a case there- they should be more helpful than your locals in catching him. the cops in fresno caught a kid for me who ripped people for a total of ~$10K; yep, he was accepting money orders in his real name at his home address; dumbass. i won't hold my breath 'til i get my $ back, but at least he's out of business for a while. good luck.

For what it's worth! I am going through the same type of thing right now. I got ripped off by this cat in FL. I called the local police in FL and they told me I needed to go through my local law enforcement agency. He got me for about $400. Whene the sherrif's deputy came out he told me that it was a felony and had it been a $1,000 it would have taken it to a more serious felony. Anyway I have filed a report with the local cops and am waiting to hear back from one of the detectives. I have done all of the usuals (filed a complaint with paypal and disputed the charge on my credit card) so I am interested to see what is done. They may take it a little further than I though considering it is a felony.

 

Damn it!!! hahah.. well obviously everyone who got jacked for dough is in here .. I'm one myself.. that ******.. took my 9 bills and left me hanging.. and he was from southern cali too, Fontana, ... I'mma have to come to cali and drop kick someone one of these days. Seriously.
