Expo 4: Instructor Shortage
We have had a few instructors get in touch with me and they won't be able to make it. We are about 3-4 instructors short if anyone knows someone interested.

I posted in the RR forum. We are now down to 19 instructors which makes us about 5 people short. We need to find these instructors or people are going to lose track time. . . like we haven't lost enough already.
I love it when people bail on commitments at the last minute . . .

Is it possible to have some Adv. drivers that aren't instructing maybe fill some spots in the Int. group? I know all I really want is a quick refresh on the lines at Beaver (could look at vids from last year too).
How many are in the beg. group?

Is ITRmike98's dad going to be an instructor again? If not, I may be able to contact him to see if he could make it!
I'd feel comfortable in INT1 if needbe. (not instructing, lol)

Be careful with this.... there's alot more to instructing than just knowing the line.
I would not send any novice/intermediate student out without an instructor.
All IMHO.
RJ - who's seen some really stupid **** out there

Of course, I was just making a suggestion.
Anyone can learn something from someone else on the track...

I wish I had more experience to instruct/guide since I won't be driving this year.

I don't remember a blue Civic at Expo 3. I think he was talking about somewhere else.
Between the ITR people and the excellent Beaverun personnel, I don't think a blue Civic doing 20 miles per hour would've stayed on the track for long.

Careful what you wish for. It's a whole 'nother world of fear out there.

I also remember a really slow Civic actually. By the way Trey (or anyone else), I didn't see Phillip Ambrose signed up as an instructor (Backmarker here on HT). I was going to call him today, but wound up not being able to get home. I know that's between ECHC weekends, so he might not be available, but it's worth a shot.
Does this offer still stand? I'll be needing a place to crash since I'll be driving out Friday after work to instruct on Saturday. I'll shoot you an email too.
Thanks

Yes Zephyr, the offer remains. Please come! And bring (was it Adam? or Lee? I remember you calling him "hey, fat ****!"), we need a bunch more instructors.

Some Virginia NASA people bailed because they were already having a problem fitting it between the NASA Summit and NASA VIR schedule, and then they felt even more disinclined because it was just a one day event.
Don't be too mad, Willard. It's tough when you're in competition.

i think the main issue is the timing. a week before just ain't c00. i would think that fact that it is now only a saturday event would be better for many people as they no longer have to take any days off of work.

I'm sorry, but this is a very very poor excuse in my book.
The NASA schedule has been out for a long, long time, and when the final time/destination for Expo 4 was announced, it would have been easy enough for those with conflicts and concerns to cancel at least a month ago, if not more.
A week before is just bad.
