well 4300K is the highest light output/visibility, but I dunno if they offer that temp.
I personally run Hella Gen 3 ballasts and Phillips D2S bulbs.. best quality out of ANY kit, and cheapest as well... (it's all OEM HID stuff)

I used to have 8000K, but sold them shortly after getting them, spent the money on turbo parts
My friend had two sets of these. Had the 8000k before and were pretty nice, but has switched over to a 6000k and is nice too. He had his first set on for over a year and a half w/ no problems.
I've heard alot of good thing about McCulloch

Mculloch, Catz, and alot of the big brands got hit by the NHTSA regulations, basically because aftermarket are not DOT, so not legal like alot of the stuff we use on our cars, but since its lighting, its a big issue, mainly the glare or blindness onto opposite traffic
So as a certain aftermarket kit get more popular, the NHTSA sues thems and tells them to stop importing and selling, even heard they suppose to buy back all the kits sold blah blah, even heard there could be a $250,000 fine for the bigger importers
the hella and phillips setups are fine, they are OEM so they should last longer, but with personal experience, the OEM were made for a specific car, so the voltage could be off and can spike and kill either the ballast or bulb, 4,000 something is the best brightness on the kelven chart, so getting a 5,000K is perfect, esp if you want pure white, the more you move on 6,500k=light blue 8,000k=blue 10,000k=light purple 13,000k=purple, but mainly the thing without getting OEM is say on a Toyota MR2 Spyder or alot of newer cars, there are daytime running lights, mainly cars run off a 12V, bigger cars such as SUV's or trucks so on use 24V, so when daytime running lights is on, the lights only use half the volts, so with that, the voltage is wrong and it slowly kills the ballast, it has happen and that is the theory to that,
so with the aftermarket ones, some companies make just straight 12V, and some of the better ones make a choice of 12V or 24V or dual with auto sensing for daytime running lights
the brand i have best experience with is Brightstar, they ahve the 12V and 24V choice with the auto sensing for daytime and other stuff, they have teh 5k, 65k, 8k, 10k, 13k, unfortunatly this month they got the letter and stopped, but i know one of their dealers SIX Autoworks in Alhambra, CA has the remaining stock and are selling them by word of mouth or at their store front, the prices start at $350.00 for 5k, price includes shipping and its $20.00 more for each additional k higher, so 65k is 370.00 8k is 390.00, they will ship for free if your out of state, SIX takes care of my car and a bunch of friends, so check them out if you are interested
dont want to say jsut go to them, there are lots of people selling, jsut alot are low key because of the whole DOT thing, OEM stuff is fine, jsut trying to explain the whole thing on the good and bad of them

I meant the highest light output that Mculloch had to offer.
