the story behind the R-hospital *LONG*
The LONG story behind the R-hospital
A few members want to know how it becomes I am so into ITRs and fixing them or parting them out???well, here I want to do a lil write up.
Back in September 1999 when I was 20 years old I was bored and drived about 120km to check out an Integra type-R. To that time I only know this car from magazines. I was not a fan of Honda, I always HATED Civics and CRX at this time. I had absolutely no money to buy this car and I had not thought about buying a new car, cause I had a nice looking Mazda MX6 with bodykit and some other rice mods. Me just bored went to the car just for a test drive??talked to the owner like I want it, but the only reason was to drive an 190hp sports car, hehe
???after checking out the car and did some test runs I fall in love with the Integra. I liked the color too, but before I saw a cw ITR in real I always thought it is a shitty color. Now I am thinking WHITE ist he color for Honda like RED for Ferrari, blue for Subaru, yellow for Lambo or Green for Kawasaki. Some Car brand has their spezial color, Honda = WHITE.
I moded the R the first 8 month based on rice parts, 17inch rims, pulling fenders, big amps and woofers, blablabla.
At the middle of year 2000 when we got internet I found http://www.superhonda.org and searched around the web for bodykits, turbos, JRSC, etc. ??.I thought WOW, I need that ****. Later honda-tech (hehe, I remeber the old style of it) came across and hostboard
The first purchase via Internet was a JRSC at Moss Motors directly, Shwan Carlberg helped me out and was realy nice. First time I ordered a part from another country, paid with Credit Card, I was realy sceared of doing this, you know, first time?.what is if I do not get the parts??I had a realy bad feeling doing this, but I tried and got my JRSC kit in October 2000.
This time when I was searching for a company who had a dyno and a wide band lamda I came in touch with Roman, he is one of a few standalone ECU programmers here in Austria. He tuned my car with FMU, Apexi, blablaba and we squeeze out og the JRSC stock boost kit 245bhp. All the parts besides I bought from Ben@importparts which was the 1st real online store I bought parts?..I still buy parts from him nearly each day
End of 2001 a dream of mine came ture. I travelt to LAS VEGAS for the SEMA show. I was realy excited, first meets with h-t people, first meets with the US car scene. LOL, it was real funny, I meet up with Dustin, Mike, Art, Falcon GSR and I did not know Mike and Dustin was the Administrator of Honda-tech. ??.when I was back home I realised it I was out and had some beers with the h-t founder.
Upgradng the JRSC system with more boost, the engine blows, I did a rebuilt and go the Turbo way with Haltech ECU, etc. The rice rims and big side skirts come off the car.
In September 2002 I bought the first wreck. I did this cause I thought I can make money with it since so much h-t people are asking for parts. It was one of the best things I ever did, cause since then my business realy starts to grow. I sell so much ITR parts all over europe and export also much stuff to USA and Canada. I am kinda famous here in Austria, many Honda Clubs and Honda enthusiast know me and they know other people and so on. They all come to me and looking for aftermarket parts or used ITR parts. MY tuner guy, Roman, always does need parts for his customers race cars, mostly Hondas, but sometimes EVOs too and US cars.
2003 I was again at SEMA car show
At the middle of 2004 I am ending up with 10 tegs incl mine. 3 of them I fixed and 6 tegs I parted out. I realy earn good money from this business, but it is a hard work and my Girl Friend is not always happy with it, cause it needs much time online and much time in the garage. It is not only a hobby and business, it is what you can tell real love with an car. Today I am all about Honda and I just bought me an NSX. Dealing with ITR parts is like a drug for me. Even sometimes on Sunday I work, cause I have so much fun doing my work on the cars.

sounds great.....i don't know if im going to be like you but im saving money for a bad honda.....one of my friends is going to work on it rebuild it the whole nine and we're going to start there......but it really does sound like your doing good for yourself.....congrats
