Default High revving B20...

Im building a track bitch, and purchased my brothers low mile b20z(9k miles). He also had some Crower 403's w/springs/retainers from awhile back, and Id like to utilize them. I figure if the engine still makes power, I would like to rev to 8500rpm.
Now, I also have some Eagle rods(new ARP bolts) coming. I would LOVE to just drop the valve train in and call it good, but I worry that the rods are the weak point.
Ive done two LSVtecs to 8200 every day drivers, and they are STILL running(different cars/owners, two years later). This is a B20 w/slightly heavier pistons though, which is the case for my concern.
So, for maybe once a month, 2 hours of abuse, you guys think the Stock bottom end will hold? And if the cams dont make power up that high, I obviously wont be revving that high....

Anything over 8000 is pushing it with stock rods (even with ARP rod bolts).
If you have rod failure you'll ruin you bock and likely your head. I wouldn't risk it. The odds are you'll be fine, but the risk here outways the benefits. 5-10whp isn't worth the risk.

I just had to rebuild my motor because a valve keeper let loose at 7500 rpm. It ain't fun...

Run it to 8000k until the Eagle Rods are in.
