Yesterday my window crank broke loose, so I thought that it just came lose

Today I took off the door panel and upon closer inspection, i found that the bar that connects the handle and the actual crank unit is broken.

damn it, there is so little space that I coudln't take the piece out for pictures

I bet you Honda is going to charge an arm and a leg for replacement, so I think I will have a better luck getting a new door.

I have a 96 hatchback. I know that I can get doors from 96-98 coupe as well as hatches, does anyone know if the doors from 99+ coupes/hatches will fit?

this is a frustrating day, i jsut got my car 2 weeks ago too

 

why would you buy a new door? it definitely wont cost that much, you can buy the handle at pep boys long as you dont mind a little bling

it's not the handle that broke. it's the axle that connect the handle to the cranking unit inside the door

 

check ebay or your local junk yard they will sell the window crank unit for alot less than a whole new door, im actually buying a door today and i dont need all that stuff so if it comes with it i'll sell you mine cause i just need the shell. I'll get back to you

Do you have the window crank handle for the interior for an eg? I need one and i cant find anything around here unless im gonna pay 20 plus shipping from majestic honda

 

go to the junk yard and get a 'window regulator assembly for that door.

 

A new window regulator only cost like $50 from Honda. Just go get one and put it in. Jeesh. It's not that hard.
