eh, I'm driving my girlfriends ek hatch everyday with the h22 in it, and it doesnt feel to bad. Sits pretty low with race springs, definatly gotta raise it up a little bit. As far as handling and what not? who really cares, this big boat anchor h22 is desinged to haul *** in a straight line (in a lightweight chasis). It's not like you would chose this engine to do road racing or auto'xn

I'm with you bro... I drove an H22 swapped civic last Fri for the first time and looked for all the myths about understeer but in the end I could not get past the fact that the car just felt really fast... Granted I wasn't trying to race around and take turns at the apex but for a sreet car the H22 feels right at home.

Like the fat kid on the hood the H22 is more solid than the rest but worth it's weight in gold.

You got my vote!

good threads.

****, I auto X'ed my H22 hatch in SCCA and had no issues.

Doesn't matter if you have a GSR hatch or H22 hatch, or any car for that matter, if you know how to modify and work suspension, then issues won't be a problem.

People just talk too much.

Anyone ever drove a neutral car with close to 50/50 weight distribution? Nope. Obviously not. Max out your traction in the turn. That's where you'll notice. ******* thing will plow and plow, and I'm talking about with the stock D series engine with coilovers and swaybars, so you know that adding weight to the front will only make it worse.

If you're going H, just make it a drag car. Add street suspension if its your street car. Nothing wrong with that. If you want the ultimate handling machine, you stay D series. Or... how heavy is the K?

Yes, the H22 civic isn't the best weight distribution and physics tell you that 50/50 is best. I'm not a pro driver or anything, but what I can say is that it is a fun car to drive. I auto-x is as well and I probably won't win any races, but once I get more seat time I know I can hang a few seconds from the leaders.

The other thing I love about H22 is the streetability. The car just pulls.

So I got what I wanted: a street car thats tons of fun and something thats just as fun to auto-x.
