Default Just did compression test..no good!!!

I have had oil leaking / consumption problems with my 01 R since around 30,000 kms. I have had my R in at least 8 times for oil problems and they say its fine, its just v-tec burning it. I now have 90,000 kms and my motor is running really rough, has a tic to it and chugs at idle. Acura found leaks from my head gasket and valve gasket. I did a consumption test this weekend and burnt a litre in 113 kms. Today acura did a compression test..
#1 180 psi
#2 162 psi
#3 162 psi
#4 115 psi
Now I have to wait a week to get a loner car and for the acura tech line to get back to them with what to do next??
Anyone know what the next steps I should expect/ rebuild ect???

the chugging at idle could be bent valves, wich could mean bad valve seals and don't forget shot piston rings...

sounds like you need a rebuild.

Is your car stock?

I have jdm dc 4-2-1 header, hi flow cat, magna flow exhaust, arc intake. Thats the only engine mods I have on. I have a chipped kenji p28 but that is yet to go in. I was told that I can do all these mods without effecting my engine warranty..

I have hit the rev-limiter a bunch of times, so 9200rpms is the highest it has ever hit. A year and a half ago I went from 5th gear to 2nd, but I caught it right away and clutched before it hit 7000rpms. The only real abuse my engine has had is running low on oil. I take care of my car like its my first child. But some times if I go hard for half a day after filling oil,it won't even be on dip stick..

hmmm went 5th to 2nd. I hate to tell you but it may have apearred to you as though you caught it but I highly doubt that. I know because I did the same thing to my R and yeah I didn't see the needle pass oh 7500 or 8000 but when I checked my vafc to see what the highest rev it recorded it was pegged at 9999. The stock tach on a sudden surge like that may not reach the true rpm if you catch it quick but the engine sure did. My bet is you've been runnuing with slightly bent valves all this time and that may have accounted for your oil burning the seals may not have been working properly with the bent valves. I'll bet when they pull the head if the machine shop they use knows what it's doing they'll find some lightly bent valves and by now burnt valves and valve seats, since the most likely to bend are always the exhuast valves first leading to burnt valves after prolonged driving. I hope they take care or it for you they should since they haven't found anything in so many visits.
