Default All D16 piston rings created equal?

i just rebuit a d16z6 and reuse my d16a6 piston rings (blew the a6 right after rebuild) because i thought they were the same size.

they fit just fine in the pistons; i didnt check any clearances on the rings on the z6 but i did on the a6.

now my question is; are the rings for the z6 the same size as the a6 rings? i dont know why i thought of this but it just occured to me that they might not be and that scares me.

btw the a6 is from a 90 civic si and the z6 is out of a 94 civic si
