*PICS* ALMOST done with my car.....Lip Kit Quesion *PICS*
*UPDATE* More pics at the very bottom of thread and on Page 2 also bottom of Page 3 now*
I have a 95 coupe. Just got a paint job and had them install my lip kit, which is...
Front Mugen Lip
Type R Sideskirts
Rear Type R Lip
and im not too happy with how the lip kit fits...heres what im most unhappy with...
My rear lip

Notice how loose it is, it looks like ****, so the body shop will try using this to make it stick more, then using clamps to hold the lip up while it works its magic, hopefully it works *crosses fingers* Its mainly used at glass shoips, for bonding glass onto the car, etc... but the body shop says it shoudl work

Do any of you have any other ideas to make it a better fit? Thanks.

use pro bond that **** works magic. but im sorry to tell you that the reason the lip doesnt fit right is because type r lips were never meant for those bumpers
Elmers Pro Bond? Thanks man, i might go ahead and try it, i'll ask the body shop which they think is better, the stuff i posted above or pro bond.
Thanks.
Thanks.
"just return the lips, and get ones that actually fit your 95 coupe... "

I'll post pics of the whole car when its done, still needs some work, maybe by next week it should be done. I tried using the window adhesive (black bottle), the elmers pro bond is nowhere near as strong as the black bottle stuff. heres my attempt, its not the best fitting lip but it has improved from the original fit. I made the gap a little smaller.
HEres a sneak peek, the car is jacked and i have the lip clamped w\ the glue on waiting for it to dry.

did you clean the surface with rubbing alcohal and use adhesive tape with the pro bond? i dont see how you can say its not strong enough. we put one of my old cars lips on with it. after it dried i wanted to test how strong it was and pulled on the lip. i almost pulled the whole bumper off, the lip didnt budge, and that was before we had even put screws in the it.

Well, the stuff i got is made by Elmers, called Ultimate Glue. is it the same as what you used ...the only Elmers Pro Bond they had said it was only for wood on the bottle. Heres a pic of the Elmers i got ...was it the same that you used?
