Default Is there any difference between Type R and GSR oil pumps?? SEARCHED

I searched oil pump and I still wasnt convinced if they are the same or not. Alot of people say "upgrade to a type r oil pump" but a few others are saying the newer ones (98+) are the same p72 pump. Is the gear set different? Is there any benefit to replacing my GSR oil pump with a Type R one...

thanks in advance.

if you want to find out... call the local acura dealer, and ask them if they're the same part number.

At one time they had different part numbers for the ITR vs others, now they all have the same number.
