Default LS/VTEC rod milling ?'s

When milling the OEM LS rods to accept CTR pistons 1mm must be milled. My question is: Do you mill .5mm from each side of the rod or do you mill 1mm from each side of the rod? Not in a rush but I get my rods on Friday and I want to get the machine work done. Thanks in advance.

Phil

I don't want the shop to mill the piston though!

Rocket is talking inches. 1 millimeter = 0.0393700787 inches
So, a little bit less than 1 millimeter on each side. Is that correct Rocket?

A little less than a mm on each side? .035 or .039?

As the small end of the LS rod is weaker than the GSR, R, B-16 rod , see if the shop can take .035 off each side of the piston boss.

Is this safe for the piston?
