Hmm, I just saw the pics in the link you posted. It actually looks pretty good but I have no idea how he did it. He has a few pics of his entire dash taken apart but I'm not sure what's going on there. Why don't you email him and find out?

I actually met this guy at a Honda-Tech meet in Atlanta last year. He said he just trimmed the black dash piece on the accord and it fit fine.

im glad im not the only one who noticed it looking crooked, but will it work without the H22 motor? is that relevant? or it makes no difference? isnt it calibrated ?

man, if thats all the work it requires, get your A$$ some reverse indiglo guages or something and do that, if you have to take apart everything for a stupid dash conversion, uhm, nah!

the harnesses are diff from the 97 lude to the 94 accord.i looked into this and if you are good with wiring the prelude harness can be spliced into the accord one. that is what i was told by a honda mechanic.

he got a little carried away?

its not all that bad, all you need to do get the plugs from the lude as well and figure out which wires go where, i actually made up a plug in conversion harness for this, so i can swap back and forth as i choose, and as far as fitment goes, you just put it in and installed the guage surrounding and it will fit fine, you don't need to trim anything, you will have a small gap on the left and the right of the cluster but that can be filled with anything like a sheet of CF or something.

Why not just buy the JDM SIR cluster? By the time you finish getting the prelude cluster in you'll have spent more $, not to mention time. The JDM deal is plug and go. And its a h22 cluster anyway. Why would you want a prelude cluster anyway if you haven't got a H?

Well the JDM SIR cluster is pretty rare and I've seen them usually sell for over $200+. Btw, the guy who did the prelude cluster swap does have an H22 in his car.
