Default obd conversion zc

okay so i made my own obd0 to obd1 conversion harness. i plugged it in and wired up my 4wire o2 sensor. and it won't start, it cranks, barely catches and then immediately dies.

what could be wrong? im not throwing any codes, when i jump the harness to check codes i just get a solid light.

my motor is an obd0 dohc in a 91 si, and im still using the obd0 distibutor which from my understanding obd1 and 0 dizzys are the same except plug

wtf am i missing? why won't it start?

I have heard that you have to change the distributor.

What ECU and injectors are you using?

WTF you people above are sure confusing.

Ok. For an OBD0-OBD1 conversion you do not need to change injectors. You can use OBD0 injectors as long as you have the resistor box.

OBD0 and OBD1 distributors ARE NOT interchangable. I've tested this and I know you can not switch them.

I have no idea what distributor will work on a ZC trying to run on OBD1. ZC's have a sensor on the exhaust cam correct? What is it for? CLY? I don't remember.

If you convert a DOHC ZC to Obd-1 the Exhasut cam Cylinder, will be inside the Dizzy on OBd-1 I have one

If you need an OBd-1 DOHC ZC dizzy http://www.distributorking.com

and use the Civic CX-DX 92-95 engine harness plug

for more reference i have had this swap in and running for god knows how long as obd0, now im just switching to prove i can do it and for a future sohc vtec swap but after this afternoons failed attempt at driving i put my one-wire o2s in and pluged my pg7 ecu in and drove it to the local chicken festival

so now, why do i need a obd1 dizzy? the wiring doesn't change, just the plug and the placement (cam position sensor goes from external=>internal).

using the my obd1 ls computer i figure it should run, it is wired correctly and all that b/s

the only difference is i noticed when i flip the key to on the fuel pump sounds louder and i hear it in the engine bay as well.. maybe an injector staying open? obd swaps do not require injector change, but maybe i have to.. cause i know i have spark, maybe to much fuel? cause remember the engine DOES catch and run for a moment

any more guesses as to why this isn't plug'in and play'in like it should???
