Found some oil around threads of spark plug
I have a b18c1. I took out my spark plug and it had some oil around the threads on each cylinder. First thought that comes to mind is bad/worn rings but if this were the case wouldn't the electrodes be drenched in oil as well? I checked the valve cover O-ring gaskets and they are fine. Any ideas?
Usually its the O ring gaskets, but if your rings are worn it may be burning off what would be on the electrode.
Try putting a small amount of RTV around the o-rings next time, make sure to torque down the valve cover per the helms, and see if it goes away.

alot of people tend to replace Valve cover gasket first before the spark plug o-rings, at times
