i think i want to paint my own car, ive seen alot of people on here do it themselves and come out really good. so i thought id give it a shot..

so my ? is.
this is my process so far im not sure about a few things so help me out.
step

#1. Sand car down, fix body flaws, filler etc.
#2. Primer, then block sand wet 350ish grit
#3. re primer and block wetsand like 500 ish grit
#4. apply sealer?
#5. use thatgrease wax removed stuff
#6 basecoat
#7. wetsand 600ish grit.
#8. another coat
#9. wetsand 1000 ish grit
#10. clearcoat
#11. buff and **** haha

my sandpaper grits arnt exact. i dont know if im supposed to put something on over body filler so it doesnt bleed through the primer and the paint. dont know about those pads to wipe it down before painting?
i dont know what grit to sand with between paint coats. dont know what grit to sand before the clear goes on. dont know what to sand the clear to if i want to reapply another coat.
dont know what i should do after the last step of clear.. sand with 1500 and then 2000 grit?

also im doing the car a deep dark black. and was thinking about a purple pearl.
i know sometimes when people do crazy paintjobs the basecoat will be something different.. like a silver mettalic, then theyll paitnthe car blue. and the silver would make the blue better or something.. i dont know.. also dont know if its nessisary if im doing the car a super dark black cause i doubt anything will show through black.

i was going to use house of kolors products from primer to the paint to clear

and these ?'s
i always thought that pearl was like a shade of clearcoat.
but these products im lookign at look like mix them into the paint itself?

so i dont exactly understand the method of using a pearl.. maybe someone could explain it to me
and theres a whole catagory of black pearls. is this the pearl id need to do my car since im doign ti black. or am i totally confused and am talking gibberish

and if the clear has nothing to do with the pearl. do i need this?
