has anyone done this ??? and is it a direct bolt up swap ???? any info would be great.

 

what's an itr rack? are you talking about the head?

i know a guy who did this exact same thing you're talking about.... the whole front subframe bolts right up with no hassle.... well it was a hassle, but no complications.

so ya, direct bolt-on

 

and why would you waste the time and money putting an itr steering rack into an eg?? is your steering rack not good enough??? sheesh..

 

Doesn't the ITR rack have a shorter lock to lock ratio? I suppose doing this would give you more wheel travel per turn of the steering wheel (if that makes sense). Im not too sure if its smaller but i know that the power steering rack for 5th gen si's and ex's are smaller. Good luck.

 

it bolts right up. u dont have to turn the wheel as much, and it is def. more responsive. a noticeable difference from my crappy cx rack.
