just do this...

it will make things ALOT easier...

set your turbo timer under 30 seconds

and put your alarm on "auto arm"

just do this step it will work out

test senario: car on you inside. take key out wait 5 seconds open door and lock manualy.. close door..now wait.. car shoudl turn off and unlock the door and the alarm should set 30 seconds after the last door that was closed.. it will unlock your car then the alarm will set and lock all the doors

goodluck on that one. I tried to get this question answered a long time ago and never got anything back that worked correctly. I had a DEI alarm and once my turbo timer shut off the doors would unlock so i'd have to sit in my car and wait. It got real annoying. If u figure it out let me know.

edit: Sometimes u need the turbo timer left on for more than 30sec. so i couldn't do that.

well, regardless, if the tt is set above or below 30 seconds, the alarm waits till after the door is open, aka someone leaving the car, before it starts the countdown when the last door is closed. if you take the key out, open the door and shut it, it wont do anything, then when the car shuts off, it unlocks the doors and waits for the door to open again, it will hang there forever, unless you open a door or manually arm it...

ok, this diagram makes sense in my head w/ the wires i already have, but anyone know which one there referring to as the "main ign wire" must be a wire where the alarm only taps off a tee for it, either the ACC or the ON wire, solid yellow or black/yellow... a 6th gen accord guy's wires are different than the ones in my 5th gen... weird, huh... cause mine works fine, and im guessing his does too

Buy a compustar...great alarm and it comes with a built in turbo timer feature. It actually arms the alarm while the car turbo times since it is built into the alarm.

i know how to do it. dustin showed it to me a long time ago. let me finish dinner, lakers game and i will draw up some diagrams....you need a relay and a diode

check back later for the edit

EDIT:

First of all you need a SPDT (single pole double throw) Relay and a 1amp diode (1N4001). I would suggest you get a good one like Bosch (Ebay) and a diode from radioshack http://www.radioshack.com/prod...-1101.

wire it up like so (thanks to skafia for the host)....

I will explain what it all means.

the gray wire on the greddy timer is ground when the timer is counting down. the red wire is any 12v +. you can switch the wires to either sides BUT the cathode side (stripe side) has to go to 12+ and anode (no stripe) has to go to ground. the diode is place in between the two post of the relay to protect it.

"Diode across the coil of a relay:
The diode provides a path for current when the current path to the relay is interrupted (i.e. switched off). This allows the coil field to collapse without the voltage spike that would otherwise be generated. The diode protects switch or relay contacts and other circuits that may be sensitive to voltage spikes." - the12volt.com

you then find the wire that sends a signal to the alarm that lets it know that the engine is on (12v+ ign). you cut that wire and wire one side to 87a and other to 30.

what this does it when the timer is counting down, it send voltage across the coil which opens the connection between 30 and 87a. the alarm thinks the engine is off and lets you arm it. after the timer counts down, the circuit is then reconnected.

this works for me and my friend. please try at your own risk. i take no responsibility if you mess up and good luck

Ok Take note. The alarm is mainly hooked up on the 1st ignition wire. Remove it and put to the accessoriy wire, (the one that shows 12v when the radio turns on.) Then hook up the turbo timer, but just powering ignition 1( The wire that sees 12v when in the on and start position) You will be fine.

This would not happen if you put the alarm wire to acc.
