Default R Inventionz ran 11.9@114 MPH

this is an answer to this post https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=875300

to all you out there, i'm here from R Inventionz...

our car did post up a pass of 11.9@114 MPH (nothing special)
Sacramento CMI 04/04/04
White EG with RI on black hood

my boy John (one helluva driver) was piloting the car..did a 1.6 on 60ft with 22/8/13 M&H slicks and whoever said it was a 50shot... its a 70 shot SINGLE FOGGER. i'm thinking we might need bigger slicks.

the motor is a stock GSR (no internals), skunk2 manifold, JG 65 mm throttlebody, jdm 4-1 headers, and a striaght pipe for exhaust. the car weighed in at about 1900 w/ driver. the car is completely gutted out with 6 point roll cage and full lexan windows except for the front windsheild, still glass. stock suspension with skunk2 drag launch springs. and how can we drive it up there with a one gallon fuel cell, we trailored it.

years ago he did a 12.4 on 70 single fogger on his daily driver stock GSR too, nobody believes that either.

we'll be there in June running the car again. if you guys don't believe us just come up and see... the only thing is that, this time the car will run a different setup.. just hopefully going to back up our time or faster.

That's not hard to belive at all, i mean it's not like its a completly stock car. It has bolt ons, is completly gutted, lexan windows and wheighs 1900lbs. I wouldn't consider this a "daily driver" with lexan windows. Very possible with 1.6 60fts.

Oh okay, I thought it was a 'stock' GSR (bolts on do help) . I was thinking that Civic had to weigh less than 1900 lbs. and cut a mean 60'

For the record , I never doubt John and the rest of yall , Yes I was there and I don't remember saying anything to that matter . If I can remember correctly , it was nothing but support that came from me . I hope it's not because I said a few things about your cage that I thought it wasn't gonna past tech . And those were answers to John and the rest of the guys . I think there was nothing but support there .

this June, the motor is going to receive a new head w/ a mild port & polish.. hopefully sometime soon we're going to try a direct setup, maybe a 100 shot.

i think you took what i said the wrong way...

since you were there when John ran the 11.9, along comes this nobody guy who tries to start something, i was just thinking you might have backed us up and said something (support). i know your accreditblitity means a lot on here (HT). you supported us alot at the track and i know you just want everybody in this game to be fast.. i just think it's a little misunderstanding. i'll edit.

i have nothing but respect for you and Vital Racing / 1320 Performance, you guys are the reason why most of us got into this game.

Yes , it was all a misunderstanding .
Yes I was there when the car return to your pit , and the excitement
I saw there brought back memories of us . I'm happy that you guys ran 11.90 .
It's just the beginning to a great thing . H-T is a forum for discussion on does and don'ts , and most of the time things don't get the right answers .

R-invention is a hard working team that has come a long ways .
I saw all the hard sweats and know it has paid off .
That was a sensational run , 11.90s on a 1.6 60s ..

There is more to come ...

coming from you that is a GREAT COMPLIMENT!! thanks!

i heard that you're building a new motor and hopefully looking for some 10 second time passes. Good Luck on the new setup and i have no doubts that you won't make a 10 second pass.

bump for Vital Racing, the TRUE HMONG RACERS!! the realist, realist.

Great job on the 11.90's guys! Looks like you put alot of work into your chassis and weight reduction to be hitting those 60fts. The mph is a little low, the ET is dead on for your p/w ratio. You should up the shot!

I know an EG streetcar hatch with a b18c1 and a 100 shot that ran 11.90@116 w/ i/e/h clutch about 5 years ago. He lost an entire second from switching to 24.5" slicks and upping the shot from 75 to 100

The 10 second should have been done and gone with . But the DC2 face lots of racer and track issues . I regret that but it's racing and time will come .

Yes I have a new enigne program coming real soon . Thanks to Jon at RS for helping me out . He is a good guy . I can't wait as well . Las Vegas will be my next trip . I'm looking forward to that . But I will be in bakersfield for battle , hoping to have something for that .

All though CMI is not for me anymore , I will still be there and run a few other shop cars .

Look out for the up coming teams that I've been working with here in Sac .

Chris at CNL with fire wall back tube frame CRX , Team Letheal with two new full fire wall back frame , Defiant Racing . They all have been working hard in the off season .

Yes, this is the car.

Sacramento CMI was the first time it had ever seen track time so the driver was still getting used to car. Its been awhile since he's raced at the track so he was a little rusty. Posted up some 12 second passes and on his very last run he did a 11.9. I'm pretty sure there's more to come.. see you guys in June.

Thanks!
the owner of M&H came to talk to us and he said that the slicks we're using should be fine. He stated that we just needed some wider rims to go with the slicks.

As for switching to a 100 shot, we're planning on doing that next year on a direct port. As for now we're trying to see what we can get out of the single fogger.

But for June 26-27 (the next CMI race) we're just planning to put on a mild pnp head with REV valves, springs and retainer and see what we can do. Hopefully to put us closer to mid 11's!

Any other inputs would help though. thanks again.
