Battle of the Integra's: 90-93(Gen 2) VS 94-01(Gen3)
i have $1,000 and a 90GS stock pretty much. my question is Keep the Gen 2 and buy an XSI motor and just build my current car...OR get a loan and buy a Gen 3 and sell my 90GS to pay the loan off and build that. since i just got my rims (16" work emotions wrapped in parada spec2's) on my current car, it made me love it even more, but those jdm itr fronts are so sexy. Confusion! i love both! help me out guys!
buy a b16a motor/tranny/ecu for $1000 and use your LS bottom. this way you will have a LSVTEC with a b16 tranny. thats a good start.

Help keep gen2's alive.
Why be one of the crowd with an ugly azz DC?
There are millions of THEM everywhere. Less and less gen2's everyday.
Just a minor rant..... over now

Keep your G2. It's already paid off right? That means you'll have more money to build it up with. Insurance costs will be less as well. G2's can look fly when done tastefully.
how much money do you have available for this project anyways??? yes i see you have $1000 now. Its almost expected that you will have to do a fair amount of repair work so that you will feel safe and comfortable in the gen 2. it will cost a bit.
LS/vtec to be done right is a little bit of a grip too. definately do not try an ls/vtec until you have a fair amount of motor experience under your belt.
I love the g2, but my first car was a salvage title POS with a b16. I had got ripped off for 4500 when i bought it because i was dumb as hell. I put about 2000 into fixing it, and still kept on breaking. I finally realized that and sold it. I then bought myself a mint somewhat low mileage DA. I just want you to make sure you DA is worth sticking with for years, because if its not, you will be sorry you put money into it.

I have both cars. I've had a 92 LS for almost 2 years. I just bought a 95 GS-R 2 weeks ago. The only reason I drive the GS-R is when it gets hot cuz the LS's AC is busted. Even my brother thats not in to cars likes the 92 LS better.

I actually bought my car for about 4k, i got him down to 3,550...but tax & fees killed me. used dealerships suck, but i love my car tho. theres a few problems but there fixable, the biggest problem is my oil leak. it drips a lil bit of oil here and there, the rings r prolly toast, but thats why im gettin the new engine. so i think when i get that fixed, ill have no problems. its just been a great car so far. thanks for all your input, i think i will be keeping the gen2, cuz they are getting hard to find these days. and i did test drive a gen3 and wasnt too thrilled...thanks guys
