Ignition Switch Pictures?
Anyone have pics of their ignition switch?
I just ripped mine out (1994 Accord LX 2Dr Manual Trans), sliced my hand open in the process, but i did it
(The New Ignition Switch Costed me $40 CDN
)
-Hopefully i'll get my hands on a camera and take some pics, should be a good resource for others who run into the same problem.
In case anyone wants to know the symptoms of a bad ignition switch here they are
Symptoms:
1. Engine will turn over, however it will shut off right away if you let the key turn back to the on position, If you hold they key up between the "start" and "on" position your car should stay running, shifting gears requires talent.
2. Before it goes bad you may experience what seems like a loss of power, clock will flicker, as well as the lights on the guage cluster
3. Tachometer and speedometer will become wonky, going to 0 and back up, up and down
4. It will seem as though your car has stalled. Or as though it is losing power
5. More common in 97-99 Accords There is a Recall On this part for 97-99.
