Default AC/Power Steering ROBBING HORESPOWER???

My car doesnt have power steering or Air Conditioning. Does this really help out on HP? I heard it does and saves ALOT of weight, just curious what you guys think about how it weighs.....

It saves weight.

I was always told that the AC wasn't taking horsepower untill you turned it on?

yes that is correct. Power steering does however take away your hp because it is always on. You will feel a noticable gain by removing power steering...i did anyways. I have seen dynos of it making 3-6whp and that is everywhere in the powerband...not just peak hp or anything.

How much weight is removed by taking all that out?

taking out ac maybe 40 - 50 maybe..thats everything the compressor, fan all the lines the condenser box but i could be wrong or really weak...i had to lift all that **** in a couple boxes a few weeks ago..

ps is pretty much the pump and the reservoir so its not much in the weight department..

About 16 lbs. on an Integra - should be basically the same on Civics. Incidentally, this is also the same amount of weight I saved with a FiberImages C/F hood.
